Leali’s winery in MonteAcuto.
Azienda Agricola MonteAcuto, was founded in an old hamlet of Puegnago, where grandfather Antonio started the farming business. In the 1970s, his son Giuseppe Leali produced the first bottles; but it was not until 1987 with the passing of his father that Antonio Leali, now the owner of the winery, continued the business.
We visited the Leali di MonteAcuto winery, a family-run farm located in the still agricultural district of the same name in the Puegnago countryside, and met the owners. People whose kindness is matched by their hospitality. Mr. Antonio welcomed us to his winery, letting us taste his product and telling us about the path a single grape takes to become an excellent wine. We became engrossed in Mr. Antonio’s story as he explained the care he used in his vineyards. The care, the loving care, the attachment, the tenderness, almost as if the grapes were a lover who in return gives an exceptional product that is sought after especially in foreign lands by those tourists who visit Lake Garda and get to know him.
