Liqueur from the typical lemon houses of Lake Garda, made directly from Karin Steinbacher’s artisan workshop next to the Vittoriale degli italiani.
Meticulously produced by Mrs. Karin Steinbacher in her small workshop in Gardone Riviera, using only the best of local citrus fruits she has selected from the “Riviera dei Limoni.” This fine liqueur is made according to an artisanal recipe from the infusion of peels and lemons from the typical Gardesan lemon houses, described many times in the pages of distinguished writers.
Try it iced at the end of a meal as a very pleasant digestive, or marry it to classic pastries.
Great for making desserts and ice cream or creating lively and original cocktails.
Bottled by hand in 0.10-liter and 0.50-liter bottles.
Limoncello del Lake Garda: origin, production, pairing and storage
Where does our Limoncello del Lake Garda come from?
It is an artisanal limoncello from Gardone Riviera, born in the historic Garda lemon houses and selected by us from Karin Steinbacher’s laboratory next to the Vittoriale degli Italiani. It is made with Garda lemon peels, alcohol and Italian sugar, without preservatives and bottled by hand in small batches: intense aroma, full flavor, territorial identity.
What makes our Limoncello del Lake Garda special?
Raw material and patience: only untreated Garda lemon peels (the yellow part), slowly infused in neutral alcohol. After gentle filtration and the addition of water and sugar, no flavorings or coloring agents are used. This is followed by resting andbottling by hand. The result is a natural yellow limoncello, fragrant and slightly different depending on the season: each batch tells the story of the territory.
How should Limoncello del Garda be served and what should it be paired with?
Serve it iced at the end of a meal to appreciate its freshness. It also lends itself to many creative uses:
on ice cream or in sorbets, in cake creams and cheesecakes, with tarts and dry cookies, in cocktails such as lemon spritz or tonic & limoncello.
Its intense aroma requires small doses so as not to cover other flavors.
How to store it and how quickly do we ship it?
Store it away from light and heat. After opening it should be kept in the refrigerator or freezer: it does not freeze and is even more pleasant to serve very cold. Any cloudiness is natural, just shake lightly. For logistics, we ship within 24 hours and delivery is free above 130€. So your limoncello arrives quickly and ready to enjoy.
