Organic wine Lugana DOC from Marangona farm in Pozzolengo (province of Brescia).
With a straw yellow shade with greenish reflections, it shows a nice intensity and wide complexity.
Made by the organic farm Marangona that creates characteristic and original products, and this label consistently bears the same name. This Lugana is obtained from the fermentation of grapes from its own vineyards in one of the most representative towns for the cultivation of the native Turbina grape, in Pozzolengo.
- The clusters come from the company’s vineyards that are up to 35 years old. The harvest is done by hand in crates of about 12 kg.
- Fermentation happens in steel at low temperature, and aging is done on the lees at the end of fermentation for a period of 3 or 4 months after the harvest, which is done entirely by hand and processed whole to preserve the aromas and typical characteristics as much as possible.
- On the nose, simple aromas of white-fleshed fruit and flowers are enhanced.
- On tasting, it’s a light wine, great acidity, and very easy to drink with a light structure.
If you’re near Sirmione, drop by the Marangona winery where you can taste the wines in their tasting room.
