Azienda Agricola Terre Solive di Nabacino Giovanni

Bagolino, a land of ancient traditions and flavors, of continuous discoveries. After Bagòss cheese and herb candy (söcher amar) here are other fabulous products that come from the Terre Solive Farm.
The company was founded in Bagolino in 2015 when Giovanni Nabacino, the owner, decided to start growing what the land left behind.

John Nabacino is a passionate young man who has studied and seized a new opportunity. It strives every day to keep alive the traditions of yesteryear by enhancing craftsmanship and the surrounding area. Which is never easy to do farming at altitude with what nature leaves but John does not lose heart and thus his products are born.

Bear (or Monte) radicchio, is considered a rare and prized product of gastronomy, highly sought after for its delicacy.

John harvests it soon after the snow melts in shady soils, grows only where the soil and air are pure without pollution, in the Chiese valley between May and June between 1,500 and 2,300 meters above sea level, blanches it in water and vinegar and puts it in jars to enjoy any time of the year.

Monte’s wild asparagus (rare and bitter) harvested above 1300 meters (they are plants on the endangered species list and therefore protected, the farm has the regular permits according to regulations), has diuretic and depurative properties. It turns out to be a very rustic plant that grows among thorny shrubs and with which a variety of recipes can be prepared.

Monte’s Wild Spinach, one of the lost flavors, Giovanni collects it in the high mountains over 1000 m. More tasty than the traditional one this Monte’s spinach grows with the forces of nature, sun, water and natural environment of high mountains. Opening the jar of wild spinach the scent of mountain pastures will convey to you that idea of goodness that the company “Terre Solive” wants to convey.

A passion for the natural products that the forest and mountains can offer, flavors that are often forgotten, are now being brought to the forefront by the courage of this company and Giovanni Nabacino, the owner.

The natural and wild raw material is exceptional, John then thinks of turning it into cream and sauces as well.
A delicious cream of bear radicchio, with a pleasantly bitter taste, cream of mountain asparagus and cream of wild spinach.

Why we chose Terre Solive Farm by Nabacino Giovanni.

The passion and courage of Giovanni, who does not come from a family of farmers, to make use of “what nature leaves behind” is not something you find every day. His results can be experienced through his natural products, coming from that village (Bagolino) that always amazes us.
Giovanni’s determination and ability led him to win the call for young entrepreneurs and local businesses to start a start-up in January 2017 for the cultivation of high-mountain herbs.

We thank Giovanni, who with great spirit of sacrifice, dedication, and deep love for the mountains, founded “Terre Solive.”
