Meet Davide Baruzzi, creator of the new liqueur Insolito 78 Gold and Orange, two natural low-alcohol, artisanal liqueurs made from herbs typical of Valsabbia.
Two products designed by Davide starting in December 2020 (and December 2022 for the Orange edition) made to enhance the area and send a positive message.
Davide is an enterprising Bar Room teacher at the Giacomo Perlasca Hotel Institute in Idro and a long-time collaborator with various hospitality establishments. Davide is also a professional sommelier, bartender and cafeteria expert, he is also involved in catering and teaches courses related to wine, coffee and bar room operations.
In the face of the difficult times we all had to face in 2020, Davide did not stop, but rather, got involved by inventing a 100% natural and local product that enhances “his valley,” Vallesabbia.
In 2022 after the great success of the first liqueur Davide decided to develop a new one, also valid for mixologists, again based on infusion of botanical herbs.

To date, Davide Baruzzi, professional sommelier and bartender, has created two liqueurs.
Unusual 78 Gold
The first, the Unusual 78 Gold is a liqueur with a small rarity appreciated by both a male and female audience; from the young to the older person, delicate in the visual, olfactory and gustatory aspects.
Born from an unprecedented and unusual meeting with Giorgio Paderno, a professional liquor maker and eager to produce something that would leave a mark and best represent Valle Sabbia.
Unusual 78 Gold expresses Davide’s personality, the number 78 refers to his year of birth and Gold refers to the color of the liquor, a golden yellow. The name Unusual represents him, polite in his bearing and humble before others and elegant in his being, which are basic requirements for those who, like Davide, work in the barroom. The laurel wreath, which surrounds 78 at the top of the label, represents Davide’s other passion, that of motors, particularly rallying.
Unusual 78 Orange
After the great success of the Unusual 78 Gold, a new, unique and equally unusual elixir, featuring natural, high-quality ingredients, was born out of Davide and Gioandgio’s passion for experimentation.
Over a year of research of trial and experimentation, mixing local herbs and rhubarb roots, cinnamon, ginger and orange peels, Unusual 78 Orange was born.

Davide’s professionalism, his passion, dedication, and love for his work impressed us from the very first moment we met him. His liqueur Insolito 78 Gold was born out of passion and not necessity, and above all, it is produced through infusion methods without the use of powders or extracts, but starting from roots and raw ingredients as in the original tradition. Moreover, all the ingredients of this fantastic liqueur are local and come directly from our Brescia Prealps.
